The 11th Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Cooperation Forum and 2020 Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port Cooperation Summit is scheduled to be held in Nanning, Guangxi, China on October 15, 2020, according to the Planning and Construction Management Office of Guangxi Beibu-Gulf Economic Zone.
This year’s Forum, themed on “Focusing on International Gateway Port, Jointly Building New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor: A New Era of Pan-Beibu Gulf Cooperation”, will discuss series of up-to-date issues, including China-ASEAN joint efforts on the development of the international gateway port, and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, promotion of digital economy and marine economy, and the opportunities for PBG cooperation brought by the fully established China-ASEAN Free Trade Area at its 10th anniversary. China-ASEAN Port Cities Cooperation Network Work Conference and Pan Beibu Gulf Think-Tank Summit, will open in the afternoon of the Forum as two sub-forums.
For the sake of COVID-19 prevention and control, this Forum will be innovatively organized both online and offline. Sub-venues for video conferences will be set up in six cities, namely Nanning, Beihai, Fangchenggang, Qinzhou, Yulin, and Chongzuo while live streaming of the forum in both Chinese and English will be available on mainstream media platforms at home and abroad.
