Deadline extended for the 2nd “Golden Bauhinia Cup” of China-ASEAN Industrial Design Competition

The 2nd “Golden Bauhinia Cup” of China-ASEAN Industrial Design Competition has been calling for entries and received many design works from all over the world. Considering the feedback of the designers as well as to encourage more designers and design companies to join in the competition, decision has been made that the deadline of submission is now extended to October 31st. The preliminary assessment is postponed to November 1st-5th correspondingly. The date of final assessment and award ceremony (November 18th) remain the same.

According to the statistics, the organizing committee of the competition has received thousands of designs from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. In addition, the committee has communicated with renowned design institutes and companies to discuss the cooperation on encouraging registration and support mechanisms, which is projected to bring more participants in the competition.

Once the work on design collection is done, the designs will go through two rounds of assessment from November 1st to 10th. Representatives in the field of industrial designs will serve as juries and vote for the winning designs. The award ceremony and exhibition of designs will be held on November 18th.
