According to Guangxi Culture and Tourism Department, the 17th China-ASEAN Cultural Forum, hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, will be held in Beihai, Guangxi, during June 1-3. The Forum is themed Museum Cultural Relics Activation and Cultural and Creative Industry Development and includes topics such as Scientific and Technological Innovation and Cultural Relics Activation, Digital Development and the Future of Museum, and Traditional Features and Modern Aesthetics of Cultural and Creative Products.
The Forum aims to share the experience in museum and cultural and creative industry development, promote the practical experience of other countries, explore the relations between museum cultural relics activation and cultural and creative industry development, seek the forms and paths of integrated development, boost common prosperity of culture industry among China and the ASEAN Member States, and forge a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future. The Forum’s main events include opening remarks, keynote speeches, and roundtable dialogues, along with the supporting events of technical visits and the 14th “Red Bronze Drum” China-ASEAN Art Education Achievement Exhibition
As a high-level forum under the China-ASEAN Expo Framework, the China-ASEAN Cultural Forum has been held 16 times and attracted domestic and foreign guests to participate, such as the national and regional representatives from China and ASEAN countries and experts and scholars in different Chinese provinces. Through cultural exchanges and discussions, the participants maintain close contact and in-depth cooperation, reaching broad consensus and gradually establishing a long-term cooperation mechanism, which effectively promotes people-to-people exchanges and bonds between China and ASEAN countries. The Forum is becoming a professional forum with considerable international influence in the China-ASEAN region.
