Debris of wartime plane found in southern Vietnam

HO CHI MINH CITY, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Metal parts of a wartime plane have been found in a pond in Vietnam's southern Ben Tre province, Vietnam News Agency reported on Wednesday.

Parts of the plane, including its wheel and wires have been found in an area of more than 100 square meters in Binh Dai district by dozens of local soldiers after the pond's owner reported to the local authorities about the presence of some strange metal objects in his pond, Pham Van Tu, vice head of the district's military board, said on Wednesday.

Relevant agencies are still recovering parts of the wartime plane in the bond.
